The Walt Disney World Early Booking offer for 2025 has just been announced and for the first time since 2019, FREE DINING & DRINKS* is BACK and will be available to book from 18th April!!

*Please note: terms & conditions apply including blackout dates and room type exclusions. Please feel free to contact me for more information!

As a foodie, especially a Disney foodie, I’m so excited and I know there lots and lots of people out there who have been waiting for this offer to reappear, so what better time to make a blog about Disney food?!

I’m going to be talking about Quick Service dining first and foremost, because that is a mainstay of all three free dining & drinks packages. Here’s what is included from 18th April (subject to availability.)

  • Value resorts – one free quick service meal & drink included per person per night
  • Moderate resorts – free Disney Quick Service Dining plan per person (this includes 2 quick service meals, 1 snack, 1 drink per person per night and 1 resort mug each)
  • Deluxe resorts – free Disney Dining plan per person (this includes 2 quick service meals, 1 snack, 1 drink per person per night and 1 resort mug each)
  • NOTE: upgrades are available for a cost.

Q: What IS a Quick Service dining location?
At Walt Disney World, Quick Service is either a casual dining setting, or grab and go. There is usually seating, but not often a lot of it. You don’t have a server so there’s not a tip to add on to the cost of the meal (although tax is usually added) and in the vast majority of cases you can now use Mobile Order to book a slot and pre-order your food – something I highly recommend and will talk about that in another post!

Q: Is it all just burgers and chips?
Absolutely not! Disney has over 100 Quick Service Locations, with a huge variety of different foods from all over the world. However, if you WANT a burger and chips, you can get good ones! And if you have picky eaters in your group, you will be okay too! Keep reading to see some of my favourite Quick Service places!

Q: What about dietary restrictions?
Walt Disney World is renowned for catering well to people with dietary needs and restrictions, from veggies to vegans, to people with gluten or lactose intolerances and people with common and less common allergies. You can view all the menus through their app, and if you have any more specific questions, you just have to ask. It’s a little harder for them to adjust things in a Quick Service location, but always worth asking.

A few of my favourite Quick Service locations!

Magic Kingdom
Casey’s Corner. Okay, now this IS a hot dog joint, but it’s a classic! There are a few times of the day when you shouldn’t miss a stop at Casey’s. Firstly, whenever there is someone sat at the piano because you’re guaranteed a fantastic show! They even take requests! And secondly, grab something to keep you going while you’re waiting for the fireworks spectacular. I like to mobile order some corn dog nuggets and fries and a hot cocoa.

Fresh Fruit Waffle

Sleepy Hollow: One of my favourite breakfast treats is here. The Fresh Fruit Waffle Sandwich. Giant waffle with Nutella, strawberries, bananas and blueberries. 3 of my 5 a day! If I’m having this, I always mobile order it on the way to the park.

Honourable mentions: The Friar’s Nook. The Creamy Bacon Macaroni & Cheese Tots here are scrummy!! But lines can be very long and there is essentially no seating. Pinnochio Village Haus. Take a seat upstairs in the cool and wave signs at people riding its a small world!

Animal Kingdom
Satu’li Canteen Set in the heart of Pandora, this place is famous – even infamous – for it’s cheeseburger pods! These are bao buns with all the ingredients of a cheeseburger mashed up inside! (The meat part is former Imagineer Joe Rohde’s old family recipe!) They’re delicious and a kid’s portion is just enough for me, but you get two in the regular size. The combination bowls here are also fantastic! Mobile ordering is recommended!

Cheeseburger Pods

Yak & Yeti Local Food Cafes
The breakfast bowl here is honestly one of the best ways to start a day in Disney’s Animal Kingdom park! Scrambled eggs, cheddar cheese, breakfast potatoes, pepper and onions and if you’re a meat-eater you can get it with choice of bacon or sausage too. Plus some hash brown bites. Just perfect!

Honourable mention: Pizzafari. I know these puffy little pizzas aren’t for everyone, but I have a picky eater and she loved it here! Restaurantosaurus. The burgers here are actually some of the best on property in my opinion! And there are some nice salads too!

Hollywood Studios
Docking Bay 7 Food & Cargo. The QS offerings in Hollywood Studios aren’t the best in all of Walt Disney World but there are some decent ones. Docking Bay 7 in Galaxy’s Edge is right next to the Millennium Falcon and has some tasty eats! Especially the Fried Chicken Tip Yip and the Chicken Salad

Endorian Chicken Salad & Chicken Yip Tip

ABC Commissary: This place has a bit more variety by way of tacos and sandwiches. The Mediterranean Salad, which comes with or without chicken, is really delicious on a hot Florida day!

Honourable mentions: Woody’s Lunchbox. The theming here is excellent! But the queues can be huge and there is not enough seating. Definitely mobile order. Backlot Express. This really is your standard burgers etc… but there is usually a lot of room and often there are some cool speciality items here as well!

EPCOT
Sunshine Seasons
. This quick service is inside the Land Pavilion so it is nice and cool when they weather is boiling. So always!! The menu isn’t absolutely huge, but they have some great offerings, but what I do enjoy is the cupcakes! They have a fun assortment to choose from whenever I go in!

Sushi at Katsura Grill

Katsura Grill: I love sushi. If you do too, get some here! Katsura also has delicious Teriyaki and Udon! And here’s where you will also find Sake! You can try it hot or cold. Find this location in the Japan pavillion.

Honourable mentions: Yorkshire County Fish Shop. The fish & chips here are actually not bad if you want a little taste of home while you’re away! Yorkshire County Fish Shop. The fish & chips here are actually not bad if you want a little taste of home while you’re away! But don’t ask for a cuppa because they don’t have milk, only creamer!

Others

Most resort quick service locations have a cracking breakfast choice! While I wouldn’t recommend this if you only have the free meal that comes with a Value resort, (do lunch or dinner to get your “money’s” worth) if you have quick service dining plan or above, using a credit for a breakfast that will keep you going can be a great idea! The breakfast boxes, also known as a Bounty Platter, have a lot of food!

Waffle Bounty Platter from Riverside Mill

Also check out some fab ones like Contempo Cafe at the Contemporary Resort, the Boardwalk Deli at Disney’s Boardwalk,

Disney Springs – so many to mention, but I would say don’t visit without going to Chicken Guy! The chicken tenders there are probably the best I’ve ever had and it’s on the dining plan! Whoop! Oh and if you’ve always wanted to try Morimoto Asia, go to their Quick Service location Morimoto Asia Street Food with your quick service credits!

And don’t forget that the quick service locations at the water parks are included too

I hope this small foray into Quick Service dining at Walt Disney World has whetted your appetite! I’m certainly ready for a snack now! Mickey pretzel anyone??

If you’d like to book a trip to Walt Disney World in 2025 and take advantage of the Free Dining & Drinks offer, get in touch today!

And if you’ve already booked be sure to get a good look at all those menus to find some delicious foods!
